New Spring 2026 students are welcomed to campus with their families with programming designed to prepare students to begin classes at Biola.

New Student Orientation for all Spring incoming students is January 9, 2026. Orientation provides the opportunity for incoming students to begin building a Biola community as well as learn about campus resources and be academically prepared.

Families and Supporters are invited to attend all New Student Orientation meals and activities. We have a special time set aside for families to connect with other families from 10:45-12:00pm, but otherwise you will be with your student. There is a closing ceremony for new students and families to complete the event.

9-9:30 a.m. Orientation Check-in and Complimentary Breakfast Hosted by NSO
Check-in for orientation, pick up Biola merch and enjoy some coffee & breakfast! This is a free time to ask questions and meet some other students and families. All incoming students and families are invited.		 Andrew's Banquet Room (located in lower Talbot Building)
9:30-10:30 a.m.Student Life Experience
You'll hear from various departments about what it means to be a thriving member of the Biola community. Parents and families are invited to stay for this interactive time.		Andrew's Banquet Room
10:30-10:45 a.m. Break
Restrooms are through the hall door and to the left.
10:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Academic Orientation — For Incoming Students Only
This lively presentation from Biola's Academic Advising department will provide you with vital information regarding your academic career at Biola.

*Families are invited to attend Coffee & Conversation in the Commuter Lounge during this time.		 Andrew's Banquet Room
10:45 a.m.-12 p.m.Families and Supporters — Coffee & Conversation
Families and supporters are invited to the beautiful Commuter Lounge where you will have the opportunity to mingle with new Biola families, get answers to questions from the Student Development staff or simply relax. We hope you will walk away from this session with a greater understanding of Biola resources, family communication points and how you can be involved throughout your student's education.		Collegium

12-1 p.m. Lunch: Mexican Buffet Hosted by NSO
Incoming students and families are invited to enjoy a complimentary Mexican Buffet with gluten-free options available. Enjoy time connecting with other families, student leaders and Biola staff.		 Andrew's Banquet Room
1-1:30 p.m. Class and Campus Resources Tour for Students and Families
This is a great way to get acquainted with many of the important departments and resources that will be integral during your time at Biola. Join us as we lead you across campus past key locations. Bring your class schedule to find the location of all your classes! Family members are welcome to join.

1:30-2 p.m. Farewell/Closing Service for Students and Families
Times of transition are meaningful and we would not want you to miss the opportunity to reflect on your hopes for the future while taking in the significance of the time. The Dean of Community Life will share some inspiring words to close out our time together.		 Andrew's Banquet Room
