On Friday, January 9, 2009 Biola staff and faculty gathered in Calvary Chapel to witness the historical signing of the "Red Book" at the The Annual Affirmation of the “Articles of Faith” by the Board of Trustees. The Affirmation Ceremony celebrated the years of commitment held by previous board members while beginning a new tradition of public affirmation for the current board members. Each member stepped up to the podium to place their signature in the historical book, dated back to the 1920s, joining the many other famous Biola names from Charles Fuller to founder T.C. Horton. Their signature was a symbolic gesture of affirming Biola's core values and their commitment to the University's mission.
